I'd love to see all guns/weapons banned, but I know that will never happen. Guns do not denote Peace.
In my long life my recollection of guns was my uncle and dad and their gun club and deer hunting. That's been it, never held a weapon that fires.

So you are saying, if you had your way, you would deny me, and all the other conservatives here, and everywhere, our Constitutional right to own a firearm?jaminhealth wrote: ↑Thu Sep 02, 2021 4:03 pm I'd love to see all guns/weapons banned, but I know that will never happen. In your first post 10 days ago you said -"Former life time Lib, finally left.. Hope this is a good home."

Regardless of politics I've never chosen guns...I'll choose a Dove over a Hawk any day. It's not gonna ever be so no one needs to worry about not having their guns.

Re: For the most part
I tried to edit the above and I was not fast enough. Liberal can have so many meanings and I'd venture to think I've done so much in my life and I don't think it was due to any party affiliation...it was me. I took chances, not a shrinking violet type and I think that is being liberal. I am very open minded and I have to think that is a liberal trait. Oh so many things and again I don't think it was about lib or con. I've never jumped out of a plane or gone skydiving and I would think that is a pretty liberal action.
I was very very against Bush and party going into Iraq in 2001 and now this fiasco 20 yrs later.

Re: For the most part
I understand your pov but sometimes we have to face the reality of the world we live in. There’s an old adage about liberals that goes something like: You say you don’t believe in God and guns? If someone breaks into your home at 3am you will call for a man with a gun and pray that he gets there in time.
The NRA has published thousands of news articles over the years relating how law abiding gun owners have successfully defended themselves and their families against armed criminals. The bad guys will always have guns. So it’s pretty naive to say that good guys don’t need them.
Well, welcome aboard. If you stick around long enough maybe you’ll see where we’re coming from.
