Well, looks like my site has been hacked.  It indicates it is gone.  Maybe Neocities can find it again.  Just love those idiot hackers.

Guess someone phished me and got my ID and password, then deleted my account.

Got an e-mail from Neocities apologizing for the problem and it is fixed.   I told them not to bother over the holidays. Anyway I will leave my domain as it is currently at my old ALPO site. I thought it has been hacked; my bad.

Well at least you still have it.  Getting hacked was a reasonable assumption.

Yes John, getting hacked is common.  I first thought it was a phishng, but not so. It is easy to fall for phishing if one isn't paying close attention.

Sometime in the 1970's I built an Altair 8800 PC that did absolutely nothing but display leds on the panel with switches to program it with.   I designed and built a cassette tape I/O to store the programs, but it really did nothing.  Then an Osborne–I PC hat had two small floppy disks, no hard drive, and it was great fun to use.  It featured CP/M assembly language compiler that I was used to being that is what we used in the main frames to run our flight simulators.  Then BASCI came along.  Using FORTRAN made easy and fun to use BASIC.

The first "internet" was landline phone connect with local nodes and from there it took off into the mess we have today. Actually, the first "internet" was our SAC ops  com link-ups back in the early 1960's, before AlGor was out of grade school.
