President Trump And Mrs. Trump Tests Positive for the Wuhan Virus

Whatever course Trump's illness takes, it's pretty much the end of the campaign trail for Trump-Pence prior to the election.  Pence is going to have to go into isolation deep in the bunker for national security reasons until Trump's illness is resolved, which means probably at least three weeks in a best-case scenario, and it's also likely that nonessential operations at the WH are going to be severely disrupted, with much of the senior staff probably having to go into quarantine for the next two weeks.  The rest of the debates are almost certainly going to be cancelled now...Biden must be wheezing a sigh of relief between his early morning, late morning, midday, early afternoon, and late afternoon naps.  The Trump campaign is going to have to pivot on a dime to some sort of a virtual operation, which denies Trump the use of his compelling physical presence at campaign events.

Worse still, it's mind-boggling to contemplate the possible near-term scenarios as they might impact the election--what if the president ends up incapacitated and looks like he's circling the drain in the weeks immediately preceding the election?  What if Trump dies just prior to the election?  What if the President is OK, but the First Lady develops life-threatening complications?  What if Pence comes down with Kung Flu as well? 

It's all another 2020 s#!t hoagie on a foot-long bun.
 

 

People are already voting. Its going to impact the election right away. Maybe the squishy voters may not want to vote for someone who is sick and Im sure the democrats are going to be pushing that scenario. This is the worst possible situation no matter what happens. Deep state always seems to win.

I am praying that both the President and his wife come through this virus with little discomfort. Yes this virus is potentially deadly - however - we do know so much more about this virus than we did at the beginning. President Trump is in good health and does not have pre-existing conditions such as diabetes, obesity or heart issues (that I know of).  I myself have not heard of anyone that I know that has had to go to the hospital because of this virus. A couple of people that work for our company have tested positive and only one had any symptoms and he said it is just like the flu- the others showed no symptoms at all. 
But in another note - it makes me sick to hear so many people tweet and post that they hope he dies - that is disgusting.

You bet he'll win the election; virus or not.   If Sleepy Joe was only like 8 or 10 feet away then he may have the bug too, and surely die from it as puny as he looks. It will be seen as an act of Devine providence and be a great "get out the vote" for Republicans.  Huh?

Assume that's the situation and the case is mild:

President Trump could pivot to a fireside chat MO, which might help with those offended by the rah rah rallies.

The Democrats typically overplay things and if they appear jubilant, it could lead to an extreme backfire.
