Gallatin County, Montana handed out Covid bonuses to certain "essential worker" groups.  My wife got one as a nurse for the county rest home, and I got a small one for working in the IT department at the school district.  Neither one was anywhere close to $1000 though. Of course, a county in MT doesn't have the cash flow an entire state like OH has.
