First Presidential Debate

Post: # 743Post HankyP2020 »

Not sure if anyone watched the debate last night (9/29).  I tried, but had to bail 1/3 of the way through because it was just too painful to watch.  What a horrible spectacle - I'm truly embarrassed for us as a nation.  Trump made a complete ass of himself - constantly interrupting Biden and refusing to listen to the moderator.  What a pompous jerk!  And that's coming from a Trump supporter.  Biden, of course, lied about his agenda and refused to commit on packing the courts.  Then said he did not support the Green New Deal and was for the Police.  Biden also blamed Trump for the Corna virus deaths, and Trump, did a horrible job of defending his actions.  My biggest disappointment with Trump, other than being a rude jerk, is his lack of specificity.  He does not have the statistics and details to back his claims, he continues to make generic statements like, "We did a great thing." or "The other side did horribly".

The few non-biased media (or less biased) outlets, like Reuters, all agree there was no winner in last nights debate, and the clear loser was the American people.  The future is looking bleak.

Several of us who happened to watch the whole thing, not just 1/3,  have a sharply different opinion than you on President Trump's performance, as did a number of conservative analysts.  Even President Trump supporters don't agree with everything he does or says, but I am wondering about your real position.

Also this belongs in the Conservative News topic, not here.  But will leave it here for now so as to not annoy the others.
