Not sure where to post this, so here goes -- Buck Trent was the banjo/guitar player for Porter Wagoner for many years and then appeared on the TV program, Hee Haw, with Roy Clark and Buck Owens; he just passed away.
I met him briefly when I was a sessions player at WNOX (Knoxville, TN) back in 1959 and would sit backstage and talks as well as we would pick our guitars together. I really didn't know who he was until Porter came to get him to start their gig on stage. Rest in Peace Buck.
