To include a live link, a picture, or embed a video
To include a live link (URL) to web site or document, place the cursor where the link is to appear. Press the link button (directly above the writing area, looks like two chain links), type or paste the URL, and, optionally, Display text, and select OK.
To include a photo, place the cursor where the photo is to appear. Press the image button (directly above the writing area, looks like two mountains), type or paste the URL, and select OK.
To embed a video or a tweet, place the cursor where the video is to appear. Type or paste the URL directly in the writing area. Do not use the link button (the button that looks like two chain links).
--------------------------------------------
Videos from most popular sites, such as YouTube, Vimeo, and Metacafe, can be embedded as described above. If a video from some other site cannot be embedded, then the link to the video can be included instead. In this case, the link button is used to create a live URL that can be clicked on.
Also:
Rumble embedding is not supported, which means the video is not directly visible in a post.
But simply inserting a plain text link will convert to a live link which shows does show the video on a Rumble page.
For those willing to go to additional effort, on the Rumble page, click on the Embed button under the video, than copy the contents of Embed IFRAME URL. Post that here, and the live link opens a full screen video.

Just copy the tweet URL (Updated OP to indicate this)
To embed the following all I did was paste this https: // twitter.com /AlidaB_NV/ status / 1311115333973860354 without all the extra spaces

Just paste the URL. Don't use the link button. That is only to link to other websites or documents.newt2008 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 30, 2020 1:10 am Yup. That's what I did but the tweet does not show. Just the URL:

I clicked on the link in your last message. Opened a new twitter window. Copied the url from that window. Pasted it two times below, but modified the first one with some extra spaces so it would not process

Hi newt, somehow something is attaching the URL tags to your link. If you click on your post, or this one, and then click the "Source" button, you will see the [ url] your link [ /url] tags added. I added extra tags so you can see right here what I am talking about.newt2008 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 30, 2020 12:49 pm Hi John,

Here is your twitter url entered without clicking any of the above buttons. I am just pasting the link straight into this white window.
"When seconds count, the cops are just minutes away."
"Gun control is one shot, one kill!"

Re: To include a live link, a picture, or embed a video
I think what's going on, is when you copy a live link from somewhere and paste it here, that fact that it's a link is retained, inserting the [ url ] tags.
So a solution is to either click the Source button and remove those tags, or open the link in a browser window or tab and copy the plain text from the URL field in the browser. That is plain text, and when copied here will process.
