Is that shoe polish he uses on his hair?   I'm glad they don't have him on as a baseball commentator anymore.  He was terrible.  You can tell he didn't get along with Frank Thomas.

He was the worst deal for the Yanks since Chris Carter. It was almost predictable each time he got up with two strikes, he would strike out. What a waste of a spot he was. And they just kept putting him in the lineup.

He was much better when he was with the Rangers.  NY just didn't fit.  Hopefully he'll improve in LA.  I'll be rooting for him.
Gallo will be free of New York, free of Yankees fans, free of fan abuse that’s hurt more than people realize. Wherever Gallo ends up, he’ll forget about falling way short of expectations late last year and all of this season after the Yankees traded four good prospects to the Texas Rangers for an All-Star slugger and Gold Glove outfielder who once was the prototypical Three True Outcomes player.

Just to give you an update on Gallo since he went to LA.  Seems to be used as a bench player.
So far, in three games, he's 1 for 9, no home runs, with six strikeouts, twice in all three games he's been in, so far he hasn't fared in LA much better. Well, he's gone from striking out three times, even four in a game, down to two, so maybe that can be considered an improvement. Gallo used to hit a lot of homers, but his batting average was never good.  He had maybe only one season with a decent batting average.

Maybe he'll improve over time.  Then again, maybe he won't.  I was actually surprised LA took him so willingly.  I'd wish him luck, too, but I don't think luck has very much to do with it in his case.

Dodgers also took a failed Yankee pitcher, Andrew Heaney, who kept giving up too many early home runs.  He was with the Angels when the Yanks took a chance on him.  It may sound cruel how NY'ers treated Gallo, but when fans know a player is getting paid millions and doesn't reap any rewards for the team, NY fans can only be so patient before they get rather unforgiving.

Reminds me of one of the earlier free agents the Yanks signed high priced contract, from the Padres.  He didn't pitch too we'll and the Yankee fans just about booed him out of town.

My guess, it won't be long the fans will be booing Aaron Hicks soon for his lack of production.  When Harrison Bader is back, playing the outfield, whose spot do you think he'll take?  Aaron Judge's or Aaron Hicks'?
Hard to decide?  NOTTTT!!!!
:P

I already saw something on MLB with a short clip calling it the "Joey Gallo" curse.

I've seen the Dodger games, and he has gotten 1 or 2 hits yesterday.

I understand fans have every right to boo a player at the field.  Players are being paid a lot and if they don't perform well, booing is part of the package.  But I understand he was harassed off the field to the point he couldn't even go out.  I think that's uncalled for.

Some of the best Dodger players have had slumps, but with coaching, their own effort, and a friendly atmosphere, they have gotten out of their slumps.  I hope that is the case with Gallo.

I agree.  Let's face it.  Today's fans aren't the mature crowd they used to be.  Seems most only go to games to get drunk and act out. Much younger crowds.  There's been a lot of fights at games these days.

Well, not about baseball, but about fans:  In the 90s when the Raiders were in LA, people brought binoculars to games to watch fights in the LA Colosseum.  The Raiders fans are now well behaved, though.
