     Sounds like libs are confused again, as usual.  The whole point of Washington DC was to set aside a separate Federal domain into where states send their representatives.  Period.  No negotiations.

If the residents of DC feel disenfranchised, then the simpler solution would be to define those residents as citizens of either Maryland or Virginia, maybe based on where in DC they actually reside. But making a "state" out of the national capital is pure BS. The Senators are supposed to represent the interests of their states to the federal government (which is why putting them to the popular vote was, and is BS.)  So how does a senator from the federal government represent the interests of his/her "state" to the federal government?  Of course, the demoncraps have ZERO CONCEPT of how our system is SUPPOSED to work. They simply want absolute power.
