I'll always remember where I was when Hank Aaron broke Babe Ruth's home run record.

I was in Huntsville, AL, on a business trip with 3 or 4 other mid-level IBM employees. I was on a discovery team to read and capture government documents that stated that the computer business was very competitive to help IBM's defense team. The other members of our team wanted to go out to a bar and get a few drinks. I knew that Hank Aaron's team was playing and the game would be on TV, so I stayed in my room and tuned in to see if Aaron would break Babe Ruth' record and, of course, he did that very night. I was glad that I could witness it.

BTW, IBM won that anti-trust case and the rest, as they say, is history. The prosecutors rested their case on April 26, 1978
