I don't blame them.  I would have been upset if some musical group canceled on me.  But then again, the musical groups I used to go see where certainly more talented then some talentless pop star with teenybopper followings.  One time I went to see Quicksilver Messenger Service who were supposed to show up in the evening and couldn't make it until 1:00 AM.  As a makeup for their tardiness they performed until 5:00 AM which seemed to make the audience happy.
