If they hadn't stolen the election in 2020 an' Trump was still President you can bet even money that they would be talking about impeachment. An' of course the New Nazi Party would do everything yhey could to obfuscate relief efforts. Jus' like they are doing now.

Absolutely, but if we had Trump we’d be better off as the National Guard would be available, we’d have tons more money because Ukraine/Russia war would not exist, illegal migrants would not be sucking our economy dry, domestic oil production would have made us prosperous…basically we could handle the disaster much better!mortarman wrote: ↑Mon Sep 30, 2024 2:27 pm If they hadn't stolen the election in 2020 an' Trump was still President you can bet even money that they would be talking about impeachment. Re: Horrific Flooding In TN Being Ignored
Heard from my Step Daughter last night - still without power / water and supplies are getting low.
She lives in Brevard - 45 miles from Asheville.
Just heard the local marines are sending troops. Even though we are 7 hours away , locally we are getting
trucks packed with supplies heading that way daily. After Florence we all know what it is like to go through
a disaster. Although Trump was the President then so we got help ASAP !
What I am worried about is the strike - President Biden has the ability to enact the Taft-Hartley act

He is refusing to do so for political reasons and that is absurd !he Taft-Hartley Act authorizes the president to intervene in a labor dispute after making a determination that there is a "threatened or actual strike or lockout;" the dispute affects all or a substantial part of an industry engaged in "trade, commerce, transportation, transmission, or communication among the several States or with foreign nations;" and the strike or lockout, if it occurs or continues, would "imperil the national health or safety."
When a federal court grants the injunction requested by the attorney general and Justice Department on the president's behalf, the injunction triggers an 80-day "cooling off" period in which employees return to work while the two sides resume negotiations to "make every effort to adjust and settle their differences."

The trucker’s trying to deliver supplies to the flood victims, are being sabotaged from making those deliveries.

Rural populations support Trump. So, the current Marxist government WANTS these people to die. Any people saved will be through the private sector, period.

Re: Horrific Flooding In TN Being Ignored
True - but Asheville is a huge democratic area, extremely liberal. The biggest outside of Wake County. They got hit so hard, so much destruction and loss. Just spoke to one contractor that we do business with out of Asheville and he said that 85% of his employees homes are gone and the construction company and it's equipment has been decimated. But yes, most of the rural areas outside of Asheville do tend to vote Republican. Spoke with my Step Daughter this morning - they were so lucky - they are out of power but no extreme damage to the house or land or vehicles but many of their neighbors were not so lucky. She did say that it is getting crazy, that gas stations that are getting gas which is very sporadic people are fighting , guns are being shot off - very scary to go to a gas station. Grocery stores have all shut down. She said she has not seen any government help come in, they are 45 min south of Asheville.Canis wrote:Fri Jan 02, 1970 1:39 am Rural populations support Trump.
