Labeling a group as oppressors has often been used to to deny basic human rights. The Nazis did it to the Jewish population in the 1920s an' '30s. The KKK did it. Commies around the world do it. Labeling your opponent an oppressor is an often tried excuse to to practice oppressive practices yourself.
