Tillis Flips Off Trump, Announces Opposition to U.S. Attorney for D.C. Nominee Ed Martin

Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC) is flipping off Donald Trump, announcing Tuesday he will oppose the president’s nominee for the crucial U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia just hours after Trump called for Senators to support him.

Breitbart News reported Monday that Tillis withholding his supporting was the critical impediment to Martin’s nomination being advanced before the Senate Judiciary Committee. Without Tillis’s support, Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IO) would not bring Martin’s nomination to the floor.

If Tillis goes through with this, Boasberg the trump hating DC federal judge that has blocked numerous Trump Executive Orders will get to pick the next attorney for DC. So I suppose since Martin doesnt hold the same values as Tillis, I  guess the left wing radical Boasberg's pick will be closer to what Tillis is looking for in a judge. 

The democrats would never do something like this, its only the republicans.

Classic GOP eating its own. Tillis pulling this move right after Trump backs the guy just shows how fractured the party still is. Dems stay in formation, Republicans? They trip over each other trying to be “the adult in the room” while handing power to the other side.

Looks like Trump had to pull his pick of Ed Martin because Tillis a republican senator blocked him. Tillis gleefully voted for merrick garland. Traitors all of them.

I've already written Tillis regarding this. I am so pissed. He tries to come off as a moderate while he ran here in NC.
He wasn't my first pick but I did vote for him. He got a piece of my mind - hopefully many more North Carolinians write him also
to let him know how disappointed we are in him.

Tillis is obviously not worried about losing his seat in NC. Wonder why that is?
