LOCAL ISSUES

Every election year, I ask the same question – are there OTHER ISSUES on your local ballot that concern you. Here in San Fran, it’s the mayor, we have a Levi Strauss relative running (Lurie) who is about the only hope of salvation for this beleaguered city. There’s Proposition K which would close Great Highway along the coast and turn it into heaven only knows what. It's like closing down the Cote d'Azur. Cross-town traffic here is impossible. Also, they are trying to raise the punishment limit for shoplifting – it’s about time. There’s more but it’s your turn…

Eight miles south of you I'm voting
NO on yet another public school money begging proposition.
Closing the Great Highway due to sand has been going on forever. Once the City put those gates across the north and south lanes that opened the Pandora's Box. I'd say the Great Highway is going to become a park without traffic very soon.
In fact, I haven't driven there in years. Either use Sunset Blvd or 19th Ave only now.
