This certainly fits the definitoin of tax evasion, i.e., fraud for which there is no statute of limitations. But the DOJ will not act on this criminal activity.

"A person may be subject to civil or criminal tax fraud. But, unlike most other statutes of limitations which expire after 3-or 6-years, there is no time limit for the IRS to enforce civil fraud penalties."

Although the IRS is limited to how far back it can look when filing charges in criminal court, there is no statute of limitations for civil tax fraud. This means the IRS can look back as far as it wants when suing for civil fraud. In practice the IRS rarely goes back more than six years because it has a high enough burden of proof to meet in fraud cases without having to deal with the added difficulties of proving older charges.
Of course this could also be used to implicate good old Joe if Hunter feels the heat enough.

I am beginning to believe that the Biden Crime Family are stronger than I ever dreamed such an amateurish bunch of hacks could get. I am sure Chairman Xi of the CCP is now in full control of the Biden Admin. and upper levels of the US Government and will walk in any time now to take full control of our country. I was hoping to live my remaining years in freedom, but this seems not to be. The "woke" communists have taken over much of the Internet and even with Twitter out of their hands for the time being, it is still unfair for us conservatives.
The communists, Democrat Party, will steal then next elections and we'll be right where the CCP want us, unless the Americans act. How the communists took over is a complete mystery. I guess I was asleep at the wheel as well.

One would think that when Hunter was being paid 83,000 per month from a foreign country's oil and gas business that the IRS would have looked for that amount to show up on his 1040, but apparently that escaped their notice. Even if it had caused alarm bells to ring, however, the Biden's were protected because the IRS, at the direction of the DOJ, shut down the investigation. Without these whistleblowers no one would have ever been the wiser about these wise guys. We were easily duped because we were patriots who believed in the government's honesty -- at least to some degree. Now that's all changed forever.

The whole upper Federal Government are communis and obedient to Chairman Xi. Thye have been trying for 100 years to concur us and they did it without many of us even knowing it. Heck, I was trained in how Marxists works while in the Air Force, but apparently the USSR and CCP have advanced too far ahead of us. Hell, my son, a 23-year Navy Vet, is doing contract work in the very field that watches them! Oh well, my ammo is dry.

Except if you're him or Hunter.
Many years ago, I forgot to report a $600 payment my husband got for a second job he did for his former employer. They came after us YEARS later with penalties and fines plus the $600. When my dad passed away, I filed his final tax forms. They came back at me for about $400 they claimed I made an error on. I could not finish the Estate until it was resolved - and they took many months.

If even half of this is legit, it’s honestly insane how deep the tax mess goes. Offshore accounts, shady payments, everything just tangled up. And the crazy part? If you ever see this stuff up close, like you’re in finance, legal, whatever, you can actually report it anonymously and even get rewarded.
