David Wells ‘hated’ Joe Torre during stints with Yankees

https://www.foxnews.com/sports/david-we ... th-yankees

Is Wells going to write a book he's trying to promote?  Any respect I may have had for him as a player or person has evaporated.  I see no reason he couldn't keep this personal stuff out of the public domain.  I think most fans do not recall him as a 'great' pitcher he may have thought he was, as much as the slovenly sot he was.  He even admitted he was still half cocked from a night before drunk when he pitched a perfect game.

Don't worry, Beau.  Wells probably did the same thing in several hotel rooms. ;)

Joey Votto apologizes to tearful young Reds fan for ejection with signed ball

https://www.foxnews.com/sports/joey-vot ... igned-ball

I saw the ejection.  Votto was definitely wrong on the call he got upset about, and acted selfishly in a temper tantrum and that only hurt his team.  He also recently went off on a tangent cussing out Cardinal fans.
I got the impression something is definitely wrong with him emotionally.  Acted like a drunk.

A's Sergio Romo drops his pants, throws gear during umpire's substance inspection

I knew this new rule wouldn't go over well.  First they made rules to help shorten games, not this rule delays games.  Checks of pitchers should just be if an opposing manager requests it.

Gerrit Cole gets booed by Yankees fans, ripped on social media following disastrous outing vs. Mets

https://www.foxnews.com/sports/gerrit-c ... ng-vs-mets

I'm waiting for them to call for the head of Aaron Boone. Not a good time to be a Yankees fan. Cole and Chapman were selected to be on the All-Star team, as bad as they have been. I am beginning to wonder if the rumors are true, that since they've been checking pitchers' gloves for foreign substances, Cole's spin rate has decreased and has not been the same. Could he have been cheating all the previous games? I know Josh Donaldson, who accused him, thinks so.

Shohei Ohtani bad strikeout call leaves broadcast booth furious

https://www.foxnews.com/sports/shohei-o ... th-furious

The call was bad, but I can't count how many times I've seen bad calls on other players on other teams.
Where are the articles about them?  I don't particularly care for when they seem to make prima donnas out of certain players.  Ohtani is very good, but IMO I don't think he should have been qualified to win Rookie of the Year before, as he already had pro experience in Japan.
