I got to see him pitch at Yankee Stadium when I was a kid back in the early '60's.

I sure miss the good old days when many players remained 'loyal' with the same teams and it wasn't all about the money like it is today.

Oh btw.....here's the results of recent playoffs in shortened season. Oh, nevermind, nobody cares. LOL
It's like watching 'pretend' championships. I can't believe they implemented that dumb new rule, where in extra innings, the get an automatic runner at second. And commentators say they 'like' it? Sheesh!

I grew up listening to Yanks on the radio and watching them on WPIX out of NYC.  Whitey Ford and Yogi Berra.  What a battery.  Such great memories watching the Bombers on TV with my uncle who oddly became a Yankee fan after his beloved Bums left Brooklyn in 1957.  Such great memories.

I grew up in the Philadelphia area, but was always a Yankee fan.
I remember watching the black and white TV when the Yankees were on.
A "streak of 33 ²/₃ consecutive scoreless World Series innings" -- not too bad Whitey.
RIP Whitey.
