Seems everybody wants to appease the mob by changing or erasing the events of the past as it happened.
 
 

This is sad since Kennesaw Mountain Landis saved major league baseball with his tough actions following the "Black Sox" scandal where several Chicago players were involved in a conspiracy to throw the 1919 World Series. I don't think it's stretch to claim that without Judge Landis Major League baseball would not have survived that scandal.
