Bud Grant, The Toughest Viking Of Them All, Has died.

I had season tickets for the Vikings back in Bud's early years, when they played in the open air Metropolitan stadium just across the freeway from my apartment. Like a lot of others, I bought those inexpensive tickets and then froze my keyster off watching them play in snow and sub zero weather, but I'd do it again in a heartbeat if I could turn back the clock. So long, Bud. And thanks for the memories.

Many moons ago, I was working in Minneapolis and got stuck there working over the weekend.
Our sales rep lived in Lake Minnetonkain, and had Vikings tickets.
We went to the game against the Rams at Metropolitan stadium.
The only things I remember is Joe Kapp was the QB and Bob Brown was a full back for the Vikings..
I do also recall That field was the coldest most frozen place in the solar system.

Joe Kapp was one of the few quarterbacks who actually looked for someone to hit. His passes looked like a dying quail, but he got it done.
