"Joltin' Joe" DiMaggio was a nine-time World Series champion ==
== three-time American League MVP
== hit safely in 56 straight games

One can only imagine what Joe's contract would look like today :shock:

After his streak ended he went on to hit safely in another 17 straight games. The man was amazing both at the plate and in the field.
