F the Oscars

Post: # 26906Post Nyte_Byrd »

After watching the opening of the Oscars with my wife, it didn't take but two minutes to switch the station.  Of course, they had to open with a black actress,Regina King.  She mentioned the loss of a lot of people this year, and at first I assumed she meant death of celebrities.  Then she went into a schmeel about Minneapolis, and if the verdict came different she would have put on her marching boots.  She stated that her comments might compel some to change the station due to her remarks.  We'll we were two viewers who did just that, and I am sure we were not alone.   She said something about being a mother of a black son....making it sound like cops go around shooting innocent blacks.  Maybe she knew about some wrong doings of her own son?  In just about every case where a cop shot a black person, the suspect always seemed to have a rap (ooh how I hate the word 'rap') sheet.  I predict the ratings will be the lowest ever and it won't just be due to COVID.  It will have a lot to do with her own dumb remarks to have to politicize things.  Well, they can kiss my butt.  The movies nominated sure didn't seem to be anything of a remarkable accomplishment anyway.

Haven't watched any of those self-congratulatory idiot shows in 20 years.

Don't miss them in the least.

As I thought, ratings were a new low.  They really bombed out from what I've read.
