Saw him with Kansas, a couple of times. Once in the East Coast, once on the West Coast. One of the best musicians ever saw. Died of pancreatitis complications. Myself, almost losing my life to the same in 2017-18,
I know the pain he must have endured.

Kansas is one of my all time favorite musical groups. The complexity of their compositions can leave me breathless even after listening to them thousands of times over the years.
Never had the opportunity to see them live, though.

If you are familiar with their song "Cheyenne Anthem", you may recall near the end of the song there's a pause sort of interlude before going into the end of the song. Well, in one of the concerts, when that pause happened, the lights on stage went out...and when the lights came back on, and when the song continued, they were gone and a recording finished the song. Blew me away!
