Solar Cells are worse for the environment than fossil fuels. This is an old article but relevant: www.digitaljournal.com/pr/738098 Solar farms kill all wildlife and vegetation under them as well. They get hot as hell during the day. Local weather will be affected probably. Plus the solar cells are all made in, wait for it, China.
Then, much of the materials for the solar cells are mined in, wait a second, Russia and Afghanistan. You would think after all the years of oil production these idiot environmentalists would just consider that oil companies would jump faster than Wiley Coyote on a Roadrunner to making solar and/or wind farms if it was more profitable to do it. The most efficient transfer from a material to energy output is OIL!
