Just so everyone understands, Shingles is the same virus that causes Chicken Pox. Once you have this virus it never goes away. That's right, you have it for life. So, any form of immune stress can trigger Shingles. The people coming down with the Shingles after the vaccine (according to the article) suffered from autoimmune rheumatoid diseases. So, add in anything that provokes an immune response (like a vaccine) and the risk of the Shingles virus resurfacing would naturally go up. I had Shingles a few years back...it was annoying but it's not something that will seriously harm you. Covid, on the other hand, can kill you. 

Life's all about risks and choices. The Covid vaccines (like all vaccines) have inherent risks. However, Covid has inherent risks as well (and some very deadly risks for certain people).

My wife had a mild reaction to her 2nd Moderna shot, our daughter as well; but our son had a harsher reaction.  I had no reaction to either shot.  My wife had the Shingles a few years ago and it was not pleasant at all. It settled in her left leg and she still has nerve problem in her lower left leg.   Fortunately I had the shot and so far have not had the Shingles.  I think the Chicken Pox got me in 1946 and made me start school a year later.
