Watch: Massive fireball spotted over North Carolina, much of Appalachia
According to NASA, pieces of meteorite might be on the ground in communities such as Spruce Pine, Ingalls and Altapass, which are all located in the western part of North Carolina, along the Blue Ridge Mountains.
