Wow, that is interesting.  Never crossed my mind, but it would be an interesting study to see what types of life forms would survive such creatures as those roaming around in those times.  Not sure humans or humanoids were around then, but they would certainly be tasty for huge lizards, huh?  :D
 
I wonder how those huge lizards would have survived as well?  Maybe some bug would come along and killed them off.  Surely cockroaches would have enjoyed eating their remains, huh?  

Sometimes just going out in my car port and meeting up with a bear is scary enough, but living with huge prehistoric lizards or mammals gives me a headache.
