Rants & Raves!!

Upset?  Need to Vent?  Don't want to sound like a whiner, but you just gotta get it off your chest and vent?  Do it here.  This is safe place for pissing and moaning.   :D

I will start.   My wife and I both wear our face diapers going out.  We hand sanitize and wash our hands as soon as we get home.  Guess what?  We both catch some sort of intestinal bug.  I was up most of the night sitting on the throne.  The lovely Mrs. TR is sick in bed, feeling like crap.

Moral of the story?   THOSE DAMN FACE MASKS DO NOT WORK.

There I feel better now.    :D

The vomiting virus is spread primarily via fomite (aka touching) and alcohol hand sanitizer does not kill it. However, Covid can be killed by alcohol (why hand sanitizer is recommended). The mask was not likely the culprit in TR's case, touching the wrong surface most likely was.

I seriously doubt that, canis. It's probably more like he ate his own cooking. That's what causes his extended throne sitting exercise.

Agree.  The timing and that both contracted the gastro disease so quickly and at the same time . . . bacteria.

Remember, “dirreria” spelled backwards is “airraid.”  Well, not entirely accurate, but you get the point.

There's another aspect to this mask hysteria that will eventually catch up with us. About a month ago my wife had to have a little clean-up work done on her knee, and the surgeon, Dr. Burnett, came into the patient room wearing a mask, as was everyone else. As soon as he was in the room, he took the mask off and said that at some time down the road, maybe ten years or so, we are going to have a lot of pulmonary issues because we are inhaling microscopic fibers that these masks constantly slough off. I guess we are in for a new condition called "Maskothelioma."
