This PSA is for anyone that might be using an AT&T email account for their primary email. This may apply to those using Yahoo too, since Yahoo actually administers AT&T's email. If you've been cruising along getting your email using Outlook, or any other client, i.e. Thunderbird, and all of a sudden your client starts telling you your password is invalid, it is because AT&T has implemented a "Secure Mail Key" for all client access, outside the web browser. This means your normal password will work to get to your email from your preferred browser, but won't work if you try with your email client. You will need to generate a "Secure Key on AT&T's site.
