Been having a weird problem with my DVD player. I'll be watching TV, not touching any remotes, and intermittently, the DVD player turns on by itself. Sometimes, it turns itself off after it comes on. Other times I need to turn it off. Then later, it happens again. I took batteries out of remote for DVD player....still happened. So I had to end up pulling the plug on it for now. Googled about it, and I did find others who posted it happened to them, too. Most responses they got, was that it was believed to be 'ghosts'.
Tried cleaning the player, still happened. I need to play a DVD and see if it turns itself off while watching.
May have to buy a new unit. Anyone know what the problem may be?
I was waiting for it to turn on when the plug was out.

That said, I would think the player has the ability to up date the firmware to the latest revision.
The later firmware might have corrections for the problem.
Just a thought.
