Veteran or Veteran Plus?
Sometimes I wonder how I fit in the Veteran pool. I joined the Air Force on Mar 1, 1960, and was Honorably Discharged on Feb 29, 1968. After 20+ years out of the Federal Government, I went back as a Federal Employee in mid-June 1989 and retired on June 30, 2001, with a total of 20 years of Federal Service (8 years USAF plus 12 years FERS). Does that make me a 20-year-veteran or a half-assed Federal Employee or what?
